Another hot one

Our 2nd box of popsicles is almost gone. I picked up 10 sticks outside this evening.
The girls played on Starfall.
Nakiah loves this site. We found it through a friend when she was 2.5
The ABC’s have games at the end. Kids can dress their own characters in some of the stories. Nakiah loves doing that. She usually makes her girl green with red or blue PJ’s. She also likes to play with the calendar. I think she’s checked out everything on this site. Sometimes she invites me to sit with her, but that’s only if Ava is asleep and she needs my help with something. Most of the time it’s her and Ava having fun together.

We eventually made our way to one of the parks.
And the first thing they do

We really need to get them a sand box, or at least make them one.

Climbing around

The girls love wearing dresses. They call it “my princess”
Every morning they get up and go to their room…..sometimes they come back dressed and others they want help.
People can’ believe I let them wear their nice clothes and get them all dirty. That’s what oxyclean is for! Clothes I don’t want them to wear I put in the closet, everything else is left out.
It’s always been that way. They have their own personality and they feel good picking out their own clothes. It’s not hurting anyone, so why not?

We came home, had more popsicles and apples. The girls choice of snack. Nakiah asked for pubcakes for dinner, so I made my famous cinnamon sugar pancakes. Ava was taking a nap so she missed out this time, but Nakiah helped mix up the batter.
We use Aunt Jemima buttermilk complete mix and McCormick cinnamon/sugar seasoning.
With Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup. Sooooo good!

You should’ve seen the tub. They were a mess of popsicle, nature, and syrup. It’s a good thing they love baths.
After that we came back downstairs, they each grabbed a book and we all cuddled on the couch.
We read Hop on Pop and Dora’s Valentine Adventure. I can tell they were really tired because they usually like to read at least 4 books each.
They both fell asleep in my arms.

  1. I just stumbled upon that same cinnamon and sugar mix. It’s so perfect!
