Homeschooling?

I’m so excited! We’ve talked about it off and on since last summer. We always said we would never homeschool our children. We didn’t know why, we just didn’t think it was right. Now here we are talking about it, researching together.
It’s so weird because I just woke up with homeschooling so heavy on my heart one day. I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Charles has even told two people that we are considering it. That’s a big deal for him. Last summer he would roll his eyes if someone mentioned homeschooling.
We are going to have so much fun! I can’t wait to see how our family grows together and learns from each other.
This is about to be one sweet ride.

  1. Congratulations on your decision to homeschool. Like anything else, you will get out of it what you put into it. My kids were resistant at first, but now, they really enjoy it. We have tons of fun and are on the go constantly. One of the greatest things about homeschooling is flexibity. You’re going to love being a homie πŸ™‚

  2. It will be the best choice you have ever made! Homeschooling has been a blessing to us in so many ways. I don’t want to paint a Pollyanna picture of perfection, but most days are great.

However, you will have struggles especially until you learn to relax and take things as they come. That is something I wished someone would have told me from the beginning. It will only make you and you kids miserable until you learn from experience that they won’t be “behind” or that you can move at your child’s pace. That could mean above normal grade level or behind. That is one beauty of H.S. …Flexiblity! Best of luck πŸ™‚

  3. hi! welcome to book sharing monday! sorry you are having trouble with the graphics…it should work if you click on it (left-click) then it opens in a new window, and there you can right click and save it on your computer, then add it to your blog. If that doesn’t work for you, let me know at alexdk@live.ca. Looking forward to your post!
